CAMP RESOURCES

CFC-BSA UNIT ANNUAL PLANNING GUIDE

Fail to plan, plan to fail. We’ve all heard it. We’ve all said it to Scouts as they gather at a meeting to prepare for a campout. But how often are we not always great at taking that same advice? How often, when we’re in the hurricane of life, juggling jobs and school schedules and activities and family, do we find ourselves tapped out when it comes to pulling together a great Scouting experience? This document is here to help!

Inside, you will find an overview of programs and resources offered by the Central Florida Council, meant to make the job of planning your Scouting life easier. There are outlines covering fundraising opportunities, training courses, camping experiences, and more. You’ll also find several pages dedicated to PLANNING!

Another great resource is scouting.org. Over the past several years, the Boy Scouts of America has worked hard to digitize many resources some of us remember from years ago, carrying them around in big binders, sharing them at Pack Committee Meetings and Patrol Leaders’ Council meetings. Now, at the click of a button, you can review Troop Program features or Den Meeting plans on your favorite digital device.

We know this document can’t possibly cover everything. That’s why we also make sure the latest/greatest information relevant to a Central Florida Scouter can be found at: cflscouting.org and camplanoche.com. Bookmark these and other incredible resources, and you’ll not only find planning your Scouting year becomes easier, but it might also even be fun!
