CFC UNIT ANNUAL PLANNING GUIDE

“Failing to plan is planning to fail.” We often share this reminder with our Scouts as they prepare for campouts and activities—but in the midst of busy schedules filled with work, school, and family commitments, it can be just as challenging for us to live by it.

This guide was created to make your planning easier and more effective. Inside you’ll find an overview of programs and resources offered by the Central Florida Council, including fundraising opportunities, training courses, camping experiences, and more. You’ll also find dedicated planning pages to help you map out a successful Scouting year.

Another excellent resource is scouting.org. Scouting America has digitized many of the tools that once filled bulky binders. Troop Program Features, Den Meeting Plans, and other helpful materials are now available online and accessible from your favorite device with just a few clicks.

While this guide provides a strong foundation, it cannot cover every detail. We encourage you to regularly visit cflscouting.org and camplanoche.com for the most current information for Central Florida Scouters. Bookmark these sites and other helpful tools and you may find that planning your Scouting year becomes not only simpler, but even more enjoyable.

Thank you for all you do to deliver a meaningful Scouting experience.
